Medical Tourism

Medical tourism is a branch of tourism where individuals travel to other countries to access advanced medical facilities and seek treatment for their illnesses. This phenomenon gained attention when many patients were unable to access certain medical equipment and treatments in their own countries, or when individuals sought to reduce their medical expenses by traveling abroad.

Patients who coordinate with the medical tourism unit before coming to Iran will have their names, details, and treating physician’s name recorded in the list of foreign patients. Upon arrival at the hospital and after completing the registration process by the IPD expert, the patient will meet with the relevant physician, receive a consultation, and necessary arrangements for hospitalization will be made with the IPD unit, allowing the patient to start treatment without delay.
If foreign patients visit the hospital without prior notice or coordination, the International Patients Department will make the necessary arrangements for the patient’s medical consultation and treatment process as quickly as possible.
It is noteworthy that while the patient is hospitalized, the medical tourism expert will visit them daily to ensure that their conditions are suitable. Thus, all matters related to the treatment process of an international patient are facilitated by this unit.
